Seafood is a good source of omega fatty acid which according to the latest research by Andrew Cate, can prevent chest pain in men.

Studies conducted in Denmark in 2009 reported that omega-3 fatty acid intake in men can be beneficial for their hearts by reducing the risk of having a heart attack, a group of malfunctions and conditions of the heart such as chest pain while resting and chest discomfort. The studies further suggested that 400 mg intake of omega-3 fatty acid reduces the risk to having a heart disease by 15%.

The types of omega-3 fatty acid tested in the studies were:
- EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid)
- DPA (Docosapentaenoic acid)
- DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid)
